Mauricio Rosenmann
Mauricio Rosenmann Taub (29 June 1932 – 8 March 2021) was a Chilean composer, writer and poet. Background A native of Santiago, he studied piano and composition initially in Santiago, then in Stuttgart and Freiburg with a Scholarship of the DAAD. In Paris he studied at the Conservatoire National with Olivier Messiaen and graduated with distinction (''premier prix''). During this time Rosenmann worked at the French Broadcast at the "Groupe des Recherches Musicales", studied organ with Édouard Souberbielle and musicology. With André Martinet he studied linguistics at the University of Paris ( Sorbonne). He returned to Germany, attended the Darmstadt New Music Summer School and joined in Freiburg the class of Wolfgang Fortner. He graduated with a composing degree ("Reifeprüng in Komposition und Musiktheorie") and became a lecturer at the Freiburger Musikhochschule. Eugen Gomringer
Eugen Gomringer (born 20 January 1925 in Cachuela Esperanza, Bolivia) is a Bolivian-born German concrete poet. He is head of the Institut für Konstruktive Kunst und Konkrete Poesie (IKKP) in Rehau, Germany. Between 1977 and 1990, he was a professor at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, the Arts Academy of the city of Düsseldorf. The Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral (GAM) (formerly known as the Diego Portales Building) is a cultural center located on 227 Av. Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins, in Santiago de Chile. The complex was originally built to serve as the headquarters for the third UNCTAD conference, which was held in Santiago in 1972, and consisted of a convention center and an adjoining 22-stories building. The building was finished in only 275 days in a significant effort supported by several thousand volunteers. This effort was part of a major propaganda initiative performed by the socialist government of Salvador Allende, in power between the end of 1970 and September 1973 .After the conference, the building was used as a cultural center until the 1973 Chilean coup d'état. Hanns-Werner Heister (born 14 June 1946) is a German musicologist. Life and career Born in Plochingen, (Baden-Württemberg), Heister studied musicology, German literature and linguistics in Tübingen, Frankfurt a. M. and Berlin, received his doctorate in 1977 in Berlin on the aesthetics, sociology and history of the institution of the concert and habilitated in 1993 at the University of Oldenburg with studies on music analysis. From 1971 to 1992 he worked as a freelance music journalist for various radio stations, newspapers and magazines. After numerous lectureships and guest professorships (e.g. in Berlin, Hamburg, Dresden, Weimar and Vienna) he was professor for historical musicology and music communication in Dresden from 1992 to 1998 and professor for musicology in Hamburg from 1998 until his Emeritus in 2011. Frédéric Chopin
Frédéric François Chopin (born Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin; 1 March 181017 October 1849) was a Polish composer and virtuoso pianist of the Romantic period, who wrote primarily for solo piano.
