Mauricio Rodríguez (composer)
Mauricio Rodríguez (Mexico City, 1976) is a Mexican-American composer. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Composition granted by Stanford University, where he worked with Brian Ferneyhough as advisor. He earned the bachelor's degree in composition and the master's degree in Sonology at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in the Netherlands, where he studied with Clarence Barlow (composition), Konrad Bohemer (electronic music) and Paul Berg (computer programming). Julio Estrada (musicologist)
Julio Estrada Velasco (born 10 April 1943) is a composer, theoretician, historian, pedagogue, and interpreter. Life Estrada was born in Mexico City, where his family had been exiled from Spain since 1941. He began his musical studies in Mexico from 1953–65, where he studied composition with Julián Orbón. In Paris from 1965-69 he studied with Nadia Boulanger, Olivier Messiaen and attended courses and lectures of Iannis Xenakis. In Germany he studied with Karlheinz Stockhausen in 1968 and with György Ligeti in 1972. He completed a Ph.D in Musicology at Strasbourg University from 1990–1994. Since 1974 he became researcher in music at the UNAM ''Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas'', where he was appointed as the Chair of a project on Mexican Music History and as the head of "Música, Sistema Interactivo de Investigación y Composición", a musical system designed by himself. The National Autonomous University of Mexico ( es, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, UNAM) is a public research university in Mexico. Clarence Barlow
Clarence Barlow (also Klarenz, born 27 December 1945) is a composer of classical and electroacoustic works. Career Barlow was one of the founders of Initiative Musik und Informatik Köln. In 1988 he was the director of music at the International Computer Music Conference in Cologne. From 1990 to 1994, Barlow was the artistic director of the Institute of Sonology, at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where he also taught in the composition department. Barlow was the Corwin Endowed Chair and head of composition at University of California, Santa Barbara’s Music Department from 2006 to 2019.
