Mauricio Mazzetti
Mauricio Mazzetti (born June 18, 1986, in Córdoba, Argentina) is an Argentine football defender. Mazzetti was first brought to Malta when he joined Qormi after having played with a host of clubs around South America, Europe, and the Middle East. He joined Birkirkara in January 2015, and was a scorer in their 2014–15 FA Cup Trophy win against Hibernians Paola, with the game finishing 2–0. Mazzetti participated in Birkirkara's Europa League tie against West Ham United F.C. West Ham reportedly showed interest in the defender after his impressive display. After the match West Ham showed interest in Birkirkara's Mauricio Mazzetti, but then club president Adrian Delia commented that no formal offers had been made to Birkirkara. Córdoba () is a city in central Argentina, in the foothills of the Punilla Valley, Sierras Chicas on the Primero River, Suquía River, about northwest of Buenos Aires. Maltese FA Trophy
The FA Trophy, currently known as the IZIBET FA Trophy for sponsorship reasons, is an annual football cup competition that takes place in Malta. The cup was founded in 1933; following a match between England and Italy, played in Rome in May 1933, to where a number of pro-British Maltese supporters travelled to support the English side. The Football Association as recognition donated a silver trophy to be played on the model of the FA Cup. The team who wins the cup, wins a place in the First qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League. The Maltese Premier League, known as BOV Premier League for sponsorship reasons with Bank of Valletta (colloquially known as ''Il-Kampjonat Premjer''), is the highest level of professional football in Malta. Adrian Delia, (born 8 August 1969, in Sliema, Malta) is a Maltese politician, and lawyer by profession. He is the former leader of the Nationalist Party from September 2017 till October 2020. Early life Adrian Delia grew up in Birkirkara. He received his formation from the Jesuit St Aloysius' College. He graduated as a lawyer from the University of Malta in 1993. Professional life Delia started out in the Legal Office of Mid-Med Bank, a bank later acquired by HSBC and branded as HSBC Malta. Delia founded his legal firm Aequitas Legal.
