Mauricio Pereira Braz de Oliveira (born 9 December 1989), known better as Mauricinho, is a Brazilian beach soccer player who plays as a forward. He won the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup representing Brazil and claimed the Silver Ball (second best player) award at the competition; he has also appeared at two other World Cups (2015, 2019). In addition, he was named the best player in the world at the 2017 Beach Soccer Stars awards. The 2016 Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup was the sixth edition of the Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup, an annual international beach soccer tournament. The 2013 Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup was the third edition of the tournament, Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup. It took place at Jumeirah Beach in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 19 to 23 November 2013. Eight teams participated in the competition. Participating teams Rule change There was a new rule change made known during this tournament. It was made known that if a match goes to penalties after extra time, it is no longer sudden-death. It is now the best of three penalty kicks per side. It is only sudden death if each side is level after the three PK rounds. This rule change was instituted after the completion of the 2013 Mundialito de Clubes tournament and will apparently be permanent for all BSWW-sanctioned tournaments. The 2021 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was the 11th edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. Overall, this was the 21st edition of a world cup in beach soccer since the establishment of the ''Beach Soccer World Championships'' which ran from 1995 to 2004 but was not governed by FIFA. This was the sixth tournament to take place biennially; the World Cup took place annually until 2009. The tournament took place in Moscow, capital of Russia, between 19 and 29 August 2021. The tournament was first intimated in November 2017 at the FIFA Beach Soccer Workshop when it was announced that the World Cup would continue to be held every two years for between 2018 and 2024. FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup
The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup is an international beach soccer competition contested by the national teams of the member associations of FIFA, the sport's global governing body. The tournament was preceded by the ''Beach Soccer World Championships'' established in 1995 which took place every year for the next decade under the supervision of Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) and its predecessors. The penalty shootout is a method of determining a winner in sports matches that would have otherwise been drawn or tied. The 2018 Euro Winners Cup was the sixth edition of the Euro Winners Cup (EWC), an annual continental beach soccer tournament for men's top-division European clubs. The championship is the sport's version of the better known UEFA Champions League in association football. Organised by Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW), the tournament was held in Nazaré, Portugal, from 25 May till 3 June 2018, consisting of a preliminary qualifying round and the competition proper. Following the qualifying round, the competition proper began with a round-robin group stage. Kristall is the most successful Russian club at the Euro Winners Cup, having won four times in 2014, 2015, 2020 and 2021.
