Maurice Beyina
Maurice Beyina (born August 8, 1971, in Saint-Denis, France) is a French former basketball player who played seven seasons in the LNB Pro A. He won the French championship in 1992 as a member of EB Pau-Orthez. He played for the Central African Republic national basketball team from 1997 to 2005. Dayton Flyers Men's Basketball
The Dayton Flyers men's basketball team is a college basketball program that competes in NCAA Division I and the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) representing the University of Dayton in Ohio. The Flyers play their home games at University of Dayton Arena. The Flyers are coached by Anthony Grant who is in his fifth season. In March 2020, Dayton was ranked #3 in the AP Top 25 Poll, its highest ranking since the 1955–56 season when it was ranked #2. The Flyers have never been ranked #1, but Dayton did receive a lone first place vote in the final AP poll of the 2019-2020 season. Central African Republic National Basketball Team
The Central African Republic national basketball team is administered by the Fédération Centrafricaine de Basketball. The team won the African Basketball Championship twice. It became the first Sub-Saharan African team to qualify for the Basketball World Cup. Achievements The Central African Republic has won the African Championship twice. The LNB Pro A Leaders Cup, or French Basketball League Cup, is the annual national league cup competition for teams from the top-tier level of French professional basketball, the LNB Pro A. It was created in its current form in 2003 (after originally being founded in 1988). It is organized by the Ligue Nationale de Basketball (LNB), which also organizes the top two leagues of French professional basketball (Pro A, and Pro B). Inspired by the Spanish Copa del Rey (Spanish Basketball King's Cup), the ''Final Eight'' format has always been used. At the end of the first half of the regular season, the top eight teams (or the top seven teams and the tournament's host team) from the first division French LNB Pro A League qualify. The LNB Pro A, currently known for sponsorship reasons as Betclic Élite, is the top-tier men's professional basketball league in France. The competition has existed since 1921. Since 1987, the Ligue Nationale de Basket has governed the league. The bottom two placed teams from each season are relegated to the second tier level Pro B. The winner of the play-offs of the Pro A is crowned the French national champion. Competition format All 16 Pro A League teams play each other twice during the regular season.
