Maurice Adevah-Pœuf
Maurice Adevah-Pœuf (27 March 1943 – 10 May 2021) was a French politician and academic. A member of the Socialist Party, he served as a member of the National Assembly for Puy-de-Dôme's 5th constituency from 1981 to 1993 and again from 1997 to 2002. He also served as Mayor of Thiers from 1977 to 2001, General Councilor of the Canton of Thiers from 1979 to 1992, Regional Councilor of Auvergne from 1977 to 1986, and Founding President of the Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park (, ) is a regional natural park located on three French department : Puy-de-Dôme, Haute-Loire and Loire (department), Loire. A regional council () is the elected assembly of a regions of France, region of France. History Regional councils were created by law on 5 July 1972. Originally they were simply consultative bodies consisting of the region's parliamentary representatives plus an equal number of members nominated by the Departments of France, departments and Communes of France, communes. ''La Montagne'' is a French language regional daily newspaper based in Clermont-Ferrand, France. The title was selected to reflect its alignment with the ideas of the Montagnards of the French Revolution. The paper has been in circulation since 1919. History and profile ''La Montagne'' was established as an independent socialist publication by Alexandre Varenne in 1919. He also served as the editor-in-chief of the paper which is headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand.
