Maureen (album)
''Maureen'' is the third studio album by German recording artist Joy Denalane. It was released by Nesola Records and Four Music on May 20, 2011, in German-speaking Europe. Her first German-language studio album since ''Mamani'' (2002), it takes its title from Denalane's middle name. Incorporating neo soul, R&B and hip hop styles, it features production and songwriting credits from Steve McKie, Anthony Bell, Kahedi, Paul "Gooch" Cantor, Bilal and Denalane's husband Max Herre. Upon its release, ''Maureen'' earned a mixed response from critics who complimented its production but found that the album lacked depth. Life For The Taking
''Life for the Taking'' is the second studio album by American rock musician Eddie Money. It was recorded and released in late 1978 in the US and January 1979 in the UK on manager Bill Graham's Wolfgang imprint via Columbia Records. The album includes the singles "Can't Keep a Good Man Down", "Maybe I'm a Fool" and "Maureen". With Money seemingly endlessly on the road promoting his previous debut album, this effort was primarily written in hotel rooms with a variety of band members and worked up during sound checks prior to performances. The final track, "Call on Me" was often interjected into the set lists prior to the release of this album and received a strong response in spite of its more soulful, less frantic composure. This album also marked a conscious effort to expand Money's audience with the inclusion of several more pop and dance oriented numbers. This direction would continue to be expanded upon with the subsequent release '' Playing for Keeps''. The album was met ...

Nick Lowe And His Cowboy Outfit (album)
''Nick Lowe and His Cowboy Outfit'' is a 1984 album by British singer-songwriter Nick Lowe. The record marked the official debut of Lowe's new band, the Cowboy Outfit (although all of the band members had appeared on Lowe's previous album, ''The Abominable Showman''). ''Nick Lowe and His Cowboy Outfit'' was reissued in 2000 by Demon Music Group. ''Nick Lowe and His Cowboy Outfit'' incorporates more of a roots rock feel than Lowe's previous albums, including nods to Tex-Mex music ("Half a Boy and Half a Man"), 1950s guitar instrumentals ("Awesome"), and country music (via a cover of Faron Young's "Live Fast, Love Hard, Die Young"). Other notable tracks include the soul-influenced "L.A.F.S."—which was co-produced and arranged by Elvis Costello (a role reversal of sorts, as Lowe had produced Costello's first five albums). The album also includes a cover of Mickey Jupp's "You'll Never Get Me Up in One of Those", which had been previously recorded by Lowe's former Rockpile bandmate ...

Also featured is a rare live version of the Electric Light Orchestra song, "Can't Get It Out of My Head". According to bassist and songwriter Adam Schlesinger, "The reason we really wanted to do this compilation record is that we do like a lot of these songs and we do want people to be able to hear them. But there are also a few things that are tossed off and goofy and this seems like the proper context to present them in."
