Éire Óg, Inis GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Ennis, County Clare, Clare, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The club plays both Hurling and Gaelic Football at all age levels. Their most recent major achievement came on 7 November 2021 when they won the Clare Senior Football Championship for the nineteenth time, defeating Kilmurry Ibrickane GAA, Kilmurry-Ibrickane by 1–11 to 0–09 in Cusack Park (Ennis), Cusack Park. Prior to the official club formation in 1952, the Ennis Dalcassians represented the county capital. Between 1944-1956 and 1994-1995, players from local rivals St.Josephs Doora-Barefield GAA, St. Joseph's, Doora-Barefield joined up with the club to form the Ennis Faughs. Both clubs were competing at lower levels at the time so it was seen as an opportunity to play senior football. County Clare ( ga, Contae an Chláir) is a county in Ireland, in the Southern Region and the province of Munster, bordered on the west by the Atlantic Ocean. Camogie All Stars Awards
The Camogie All Star Awards are awarded each November to 15 players who have made outstanding contributions to the Irish stick and ball team sport of camogie in the 15 traditional positions on the field: goalkeeper, three full backs, three half-backs, two midfields, three half-forwards and three full-forwards. They were awarded for the first time in 2003 as an independent initiative sponsored by a hotel group and accorded official status by the Camogie Association in 2004. In 2004 a team of the century was also chosen to commemorate the centenary of the sport. O'Neill's are the present title sponsors of the awards. The leading awards winner is Gemma O'Connor of Cork with eleven awards. All-Ireland Junior Camogie Championship
The All-Ireland Junior Camogie Championship is a competition for third-tier county teams in the women's field sport of camogie and for second-string teams of first-tier counties. In accordance with the practice in GAA competitions the term junior applies to the level of competition rather than the age group. The 2021 championship was contested by Armagh, Cavan, Roscommon and the second teams of Antrim, Clare, Down, Limerick, Kildare, Waterford and Wexford. History The competition was established in 1969 for the New Ireland Cup. The name was changed to the Kay Mills Cup in honour of former player Kathleen Mills in 2010. In 2006 the second teams of the first-tier camogie counties were removed from the competition. Gael Linn Cup
The Gael Linn Cup is a bi-ennial tournament, representative competition for elite level participants in the women's team field sport of camogie, contested by Ireland's four provincial teams with competitions at senior and junior level on alternate years. The tournament has existed in various guides since 1956, currently the senior tournament is played in even years and the junior tournament in odd years.
