Matías Carrillo
Matías Carrillo García (born 24 February 1963 in Macapule, Sinaloa, México) is a Mexican professional baseball manager and former outfielder who is the manager of the Acereros de Monclova of the Mexican League. He played for three seasons in the Major League Baseball, making his debut in 1991 for the Milwaukee Brewers and was member of the Florida Marlins in the 1993 and 1994 seasons. Professional career During his career, Carrillo played for 22 seasons in the Mexican League. He debuted in 1982 for the Petroleros de Poza Rica, winning the Rookie of the Year Award. In 1984, Carrillo was signed by the Tigres Capitalinos. After spending three seasons with the Denver Zephyrs, Carrillo made his MLB debut on 23 May 1991 playing for the Milwaukee Brewers. In 1993, Carrillo was signed by the Florida Marlins and played his last MLB game on 10 August 1994. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. As an outfielder, they normally play behind the six players located in the field. By convention, each of the nine defensive positions in baseball is numbered. The outfield positions are 7 (left field), 8 (center field) and 9 (right field). The league has 18 teams organized in two divisions, North and South. Teams play 114 games each season. Mickey Callaway
Michael Christopher Callaway (born May 13, 1975) is an American professional baseball coach and former pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB). He played in MLB for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Anaheim Angels, and Texas Rangers and in the KBO League for the Hyundai Unicorns. He was the manager of the New York Mets from 2018 through 2019 and coach for the Cleveland Indians and Los Angeles Angels. The Pericos de Puebla (English: "Puebla Parrots") are a professional baseball team in the Mexican League based in Puebla, Mexico. History The state of Puebla came upon baseball in the early 1920s when returning Poblanos that had come from military service who were based in the north of Mexico brought back with them this new sport which they share with the locals. The 2011 Mexican League season was the 87th season in the history of the Mexican League. It was contested by 14 teams, evenly divided in North and South zones. The season started on 18 March with the match between 2010 season champions Saraperos de Saltillo and Acereros de Monclova and ended on 26 August with the last game of the Serie del Rey, where Tigres de Quintana Roo defeated Diablos Rojos del México to win the championship.
