Maty Grunberg (Hebrew מתי גרינברג) born 1943, is an Israeli sculptor and known also for his Artist Books. Biography Maty Grunberg was born in Skopje, Macedonia, the former Yugoslavia. In the year 1948 M.G. immigrated to Israel with his parents and sister "Liora". They were part of the remnants of Yugoslavian Jewry escaping from Europe. He grew up in Bat-yam, a small beach town south to Tel Aviv. His father, Leo, was an engineer and an inventor. His mother, Bella Kimchi, was a descendant of an old family coming from Toledo, Spain. M.G. finished "with honor" his studies in "Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design", Jerusalem (1964–66) and continued for his M.A. degree in "Central School of Art and Design" in London (1969–71). Maty Mint Hamady (born 1967) is a Mauritanian economist and politician who has been Mayor of Nouakchott, the capital and largest city of Mauritania, since 2014. Previously she was Minister of Public Service, Labour and Modernization of Administration from 2011 to 2013. Mathew Richard Mauk (born June 13, 1993) is an American football quarterback who is currently a free agent. He played college football for the Eastern Kentucky Colonels. He previously played for the Missouri Tigers. He is the younger brother of quarterback Ben Mauk. Early years Mauk, the son of Mike and Gwyn Mauk, was born and raised in Kenton, Ohio. Matthew Maty (17 May 1718 – 2 July 1776), originally Matthieu Maty, was a Dutch physician and writer of Huguenot background, and after migration to England secretary of the Royal Society and the second principal librarian of the British Museum. Early life The son of Paul Maty, he was born at Montfoort, near Utrecht, the Netherlands, on 17 May 1718. His father was a Protestant refugee from Beaufort, Provence; he settled in the Dutch Republic and became minister of the Walloon church at Montfoort, and subsequently catechist at The Hague, but was dismissed from his benefices and excommunicated by synods at Kampen and The Hague in 1730 for maintaining, in a letter on ‘The Mystery of the Trinity’ to De la Chappelle, that the Son and Holy Spirit are two finite beings created by God, and at a certain time united to him. Paul Henry Maty
Paul Henry Maty (1744 – 16 January 1787) was an English librarian. Maty was born in London, the son of the librarian Matthew Maty (1718–1786), and was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge. He vacated a Trinity fellowship to marry in 1775. In 1777 he published his religious doubts about the 39 articles in the ''Gentleman's Magazine''. With his Ecclesiastical advancement thus impeded, he became an assistant librarian, and then under-librarian, at the British Museum. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in May 1771. He also obtained the job of foreign secretary, and subsequently general secretary, to the Society – although taking Charles Hutton's side in his dispute with the president Joseph Banks forced Maty's resignation in 1784.
