Mattie Kenny
Thomas Martin Kenny (born 1964), better known as Mattie Kenny, is an Irish hurling manager and former player who is the former manager of the Dublin senior hurling team. As a player he lined out with Galway Senior Championship club Abbey/Duniry and the Galway senior hurling team. Playing career Abbey/Duniry Kenny joined the Abbey/Duniry club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels before eventually joining the club's top adult team in the Galway Intermediate Championship. On 22 October 1989, Kenny lined out at left wing-forward when Abbey/Duniry faced Portumna in the final. He top scored with 0-10, including 0-06 from frees, in the 0-14 to 1-11 draw. The GAA Hurling Under-20 All-Ireland Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Bord Gáis Energy GAA Hurling Under-20 All-Ireland Championship) is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in Ireland. Ballyea is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in the parish of Ballyea, County Clare, Ballyea/Clarecastle in County Clare, Ireland founded in 1935. O'Loughlin Gaels is a Gaelic Athletic Association club situated in the St. John’s parish of Kilkenny city, County Kilkenny, Ireland. History The club was founded in 1969, replacing the St. John’s Hurling Club that started back in 1887. O'Loughlin Gaels are one of the most successful Kilkenny clubs of the new millennium, winning county titles in 2001 and 2003. In 2003, they went on to claim their first Leinster senior title. Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship
The Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Leinster GAA Hurling Senior Club Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the champion senior clubs in the province of Leinster in Ireland. It is the most prestigious club competition in Leinster hurling. Introduced in 1971, it was initially a straight knockout tournament open to all 12 county senior champions from the 1970 championship season. The competition is currently limited to the eight champion club teams from the strongest hurling counties in Leinster. Kilmacud Crokes GAA
Kilmacud Crokes ( ir, Cill Mochuda Na Crócaigh) is a large Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Stillorgan, Dublin, Republic of Ireland. Background Kilmacud GAA club was formed in 1959 following a historic public meeting in Saint Laurence's Hall, where Stillorgan shopping centre now stands. The first meeting of the club took place on 12 March 1959. Sixty people attended the meeting and donated a shilling each, meaning the club made IR£3.30 on the night. The club decided to use green-and-white jerseys, but they later decided to use the gold-and-purple colours, some say because of the local school Scoil Lorcain Naofa who also use gold and purple, others say it was because blue are the colours of the crocus. In 1963 the club purchased a -acre site behind the Ormonde Cinema as a permanent home pitch for themselves, Páirc de Burca, and in 1965 the adjoining Glenalbyn House was bought. Oulart The Ballagh GAA
Oulart (, formerly ''Ubhallghort'' - ''"the orchard"''), is a small village in the southeastern corner of Ireland. It is situated in County Wexford just off the R741 regional road halfway between the towns of Gorey to the north and Wexford to the south. Raheenduff or "Black little fort" in English, is a small hamlet within the extremities of Oulart village and is home of Cooney's local grain store, village store and public house, which has been managed by the Redmond family since the 1950s. Two other townlands in Oulart, Kilnamanagh and Kyle, are home to businesses such as a plant nursery, pubs, SPAR supermarket, and auto services business. St Jude's (Irish: ''Naomh Jude'') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Templeogue on the southside of Dublin. The club fields teams in all four codes of the Gaelic Athletic Association Gaelic football, Hurling, Camogie and Ladies Football.
