Mattia Marchesetti (born 28 September 1983) is an Italian footballer. Biography Born in Crema, Lombardy, Marchesetti started his career at provincial capital – Cremona for Cremonese. In July 2004 he was signed by Serie A club Chievo in temporary deal. However, he only made his top division debut on 9 January 2005. Marchesetti returned to Cremona for 2005–06 Serie B. In January 2006 Marchesetti was signed by Sampdoria. In July 2006 he was re-signed by Chievo. However Marchesetti only played 5 times in Serie A and 4 times in 2006–07 Coppa Italia. In January 2007 Marchesetti left for Triestina. Crema, Italy
Crema (; Cremasco: ) is a city and ''comune'' in the province of Cremona, in the region of Lombardy in northern Italy. It is built along the river Serio at from Cremona. It is also the seat of the Catholic Bishop of Crema, who gave the title of city to Crema. Crema's main economic activities traditionally (since the 11th century) related to agriculture, cattle breeding and making wool, but its manufactures in later centuries include cheese, iron products and cotton and wool textiles. The Serie D () is the top level of semi-professional football in the country. The fourth tier of the Italian league system, the competition sits beneath the third professional league, Serie C. It is administered by the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti and is organized by the Roman ''Comitato Interregionale'' (Interregional Committee), a "league in the league" inside the LND. The 2010–11 Lega Pro Prima Divisione season was the thirty-third football league season of Italian Lega Pro Prima Divisione since its establishment in 1978, and the third since the renaming from Serie C to Lega Pro. It will be divided into two phases: the regular season, and the playoff phase. The league will also be composed of 36 teams divided into two divisions of 18 teams each, whose teams will be divided geographically. Teams will play only other teams in their own division, once at home and once away for a total of 34 matches each. Teams finishing first in the regular season, plus one team winning the playoff round from each division will be promoted to Serie B; teams finishing last in the regular season, plus two relegation playoff losers from each division will be relegated to Lega Pro Seconda Divisione.
