Matti Rönkä
Matti Rönkä (born 9 September 1959) is a Finnish TV journalist and novelist. He received the Glass Key award in 2007 for the crime novel ''Ystävät kaukana'' and the ''Deutscher Krimi Preis'' third prize in 2008 for the German translation of his novel ''Tappajan näköinen mies'' (2002) (german: Der Grenzgänger). The Glass Key award ( sv, Glasnyckeln, da, Glasnøglen, no, Glassnøkkelen, fi, Lasiavain-palkinto, is, Glerlykillinn) is a literature award given annually to a crime novel by an author from the Nordic countries. The award, named after the novel ''The Glass Key'' by American crime writer Dashiell Hammett, is a real glass key given every year by the members of the Crime Writers of Scandinavia () to a crime novel written by a Danish people, Danish, Finnish people, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian people, Norwegian or Swedish people, Swedish author. Deutscher Krimi Preis
The Deutscher Krimi Preis, or the ''German Crime Fiction Award'', is the oldest and most prestigious German literary prize for crime fiction. It has been awarded since 1985 by the Bochum Crime Archive. Unlike the Friedrich Glauser Prize, which is awarded by the authors' group ''The Syndicate'', the judges are literary scholars, critics and booksellers. By their own definition, they appreciate the ''literary skill and original content that give the genre a new impetus.'' The best new releases of German crime fiction are awarded prizes numbered 1 through 3. In a second category, there are also three awards for newly translated works by international authors. Arvi Lind
Arvi Kullervo Lind (born December 21, 1940) is a retired Finnish television news presenter. He worked as the news anchor on Yleisradio TV1 from 1965 to 2003. Along with Kari Toivonen, he was one of the longest-serving employees of Yleisradio news. Lind was born in Lauritsala. His career as a reporter in Yleisradio TV news began on October 15, 1965. His last news broadcast was on Wednesday, October 15, 2003, at 20:30 EEST, and he retired from his work at the beginning of year 2004. The farewell broadcast was seen by over 1.6 million viewers. Since then, he has lectured about his work in universities, and in 2005, the newspaper ''Keskisuomalainen'' appointed him as their reader ombudsman. He's often been called "the most trustworthy man in Finland" by the media. The biography ''Lindin Arvi'' was written by Heikki Hietamies.
