Matthijs Büchli
Matthijs Büchli (born 13 December 1992) is a Dutch road bicycle racing, road and Track cycling, track cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Track Team . He became world champion in the keirin at the 2018 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. In 2016, Büchli won the silver medal in the Cycling at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's keirin, men's keirin at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, despite experiencing a severe knee injury only five months before the Olympic Games. Büchli was also a part of the team that won the gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the Cycling at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Men's team sprint, team sprint event. Büchli has been a member of the commercial team of together with Theo Bos since 2017. UEC European Track Championships
The European Track Cycling Championships are a set of elite level competition events held annually for the various disciplines and distances in track cycling, exclusively for European cyclists, and regulated by the European Cycling Union (UEC). They were first held in their current format in 2010, when elite level cyclists competed for the first time following an overhaul of European track cycling. The UEC agreed with the governing bodies of six other major European sports from 2018 to integrate its four Olympic-class events, including track cycling, into the new European Championships event on a quadrennial basis.
