Matthieu Sans
Matthieu Sans (born 16 June 1988) is a French former professional association football, footballer who played as a defender (association football), defender. He is a currently a sports co-ordinator with Chamois Niortais F.C., Chamois Niortais. Career Born in Toulon, Sans began his career with AS Monaco FC, Monaco but did not make a first-team appearance for the club before leaving in 2008. He later had spells with AC Arles-Avignon, Arles and Corsican side SC Bastia, Bastia, where he was part of the team that won successive promotions in 2010–11 and 2011–12 to reach Ligue 1. Sans spent the duration of the 2013–2014 season on loan at Championnat National club Gazélec Ajaccio. On 23 July 2020, Sans signed for FC Annecy, Annecy after his release from Chamois Niortais F.C., Chamois Niortais. The competition is contested by 112 clubs split geographically across 8 groups of 14 teams each. The 2019–20 Ligue 2 (referred to as the Domino's Pizza, Domino's Ligue 2 for sponsorship reasons) season was the 81st season since its establishment. The season was suspended indefinitely on 12 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 28 April 2020, the French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe announced that there would be no sporting events, even behind closed doors, before September 2020, thus in effect ending the season. On 30 April 2020, the LFP declared FC Lorient, Lorient as champions of Ligue 2, and that the top two clubs would be promoted to 2020–21 Ligue 1, Ligue 1, meaning RC Lens, Lens were promoted as well.
