Matthias Müller (born 9 June 1953) is a German businessman who was the chief executive officer (CEO) of Volkswagen AG from 25 September 2015 to 12 April 2018. He had been the CEO of its subsidiary, Porsche, since 2010 and has been Member of the executive board of Porsche Automobil Holding SE since 2010. Early life and education Matthias Müller was born on 9 June 1953, in Limbach-Oberfrohna, East Germany. His family moved to West Germany in 1955, and he grew up in Bavaria. After graduating from school in Ingolstadt, Müller started an apprenticeship as a toolmaker at Audi, which he completed in 1977. He subsequently studied computer engineering science at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. Career Müller returned to Audi, taking a junior management position in the IT department in 1984. Matthias Müller (born 1961 in Bielefeld) is a German experimental filmmaker and curator, often working in the field of found footage films. Biography From 1994 to 1997 he worked as guest professor at the Goethe University Frankfurt, and from 1998 to 1999 at the Dortmund Fachhochschule. Since 2003 he is professor for experimental film at thAcademy of Media Arts (KHM) Cologne, Germany. Matthias Müller (born 18 October 1954) is a retired German footballer. Müller began his career with his hometown club, Dynamo Dresden, where he established himself in the first-team, playing at full-back as the team won three East German titles and one cup. Matthias Müller (born 12 September 1982) is a Swiss orienteering competitor. He participated in the 2009 World Orienteering Championships in Miskolc, where he placed 7th in the Sprint and 4th in the Middle Distance events.
