Matthias Beckmann
Matthias Beckmann (born October 5, 1984) is a German jazz trumpeter and flugelhornist, instructor, composer and arranger. Beckmann was born in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia and began playing trumpet in a trombone choire as a child. Then he studied music at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and ArtEZ Conservatorium Enschede under Eric Vloeimans. He joined several master classes amongst others with Ack van Rooyen and Till Brönner. Matthias Beckmann worked in projects with Dr. Ring-Ding Dr. Ring Ding (Richard Alexander Jung) is a German reggae, ska and dancehall artist. Jazz
Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with its roots in blues and ragtime. Since the 1920s Jazz Age, it has been recognized as a major form of musical expression in traditional and popular music. Royal Conservatory Of The Hague
The Royal Conservatoire ( nl, Koninklijk Conservatorium, KC) is a conservatoire in The Hague, providing higher education in music and dance. Eric Vloeimans
Eric Vloeimans (; born 24 March 1963) is a Dutch musician, songwriter, and record producer. Biography Although he studied classical music as a child, he became interested in jazz at the Rotterdam Academy of Music. After graduating in 1988, he moved to New York City and studied trumpet with Donald Byrd. He was a member of big bands led by Mercer Ellington and Frank Foster. In the 1990s, he recorded the album ''Bitches and Fairy Tales'' (1999) with Marc Johnson, Joey Baron, and John Taylor. Ack Van Rooyen
Ack van Rooyen (1 January 1930, The Hague – 18 November 2021) was a Dutch jazz trumpeter and flugelhornist. He was the brother of Jerry van Rooyen. Van Rooyen began playing with a military band as a teenager, touring bases in Indonesia. He then studied music at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, graduating in 1950, then worked with Ernst van 't Hoff and his brother. He played with The Ramblers in 1955–1957, then moved to France in 1957, where he worked with Aime Barelli, Kenny Clarke, Lucky Thompson, and Barney Wilen. In 1960, he relocated to Germany, playing in a big band at Sender Freies Berlin with his brother, in addition to side work with Hans Koller, Bert Kaempfert, and Åke Persson. Till Brönner (born 6 May 1971 in Viersen, West Germany) is a jazz musician, trumpeter, flügelhorn player, singer, composer, producer and photographer. History From 1989–1991, Brönner was a member of the Peter Herbolzheimer Rhythm Combination & Brass. At the age of twenty, he became solo trumpeter of the RIAS Big Band Berlin under Horst Jankowski and later Jiggs Whigham. Brönner recorded his debut album, ''Generations of Jazz'' (1993) with Ray Brown and Jeff Hamilton. His vocal debut was on ''Love'' (Verve, 1998).
