Matthew Tuck
Matthew Tuck (born 20 January 1980) is a Welsh musician, best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the metal band Bullet for My Valentine. He is also a singer and guitarist in the Supergroup (music), supergroup AxeWound, which was formed in 2012. Career Bullet for My Valentine formed in 1998 under the name Jeff Killed John and were originally a nu metal band. After bassist Nick Crandle left in 2003, they picked up Jason James as their new bassist and renamed the band Bullet for My Valentine. They have released six studio albums and four Extended play, EPs. The band has sold over one million albums in the United States and over three million worldwide and are the most-successful act in the ''Kerrang!'' Awards category of "Best British Band", with three wins. Tuck is also the backing vocalist and rhythm guitarist in the Supergroup (music), supergroup AxeWound. Bridgend
Bridgend (; cy, Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr or just , meaning "the end of the bridge on the Ogmore") is a town in Bridgend County Borough in Wales, west of Cardiff and east of Swansea. Tonsillectomy
Tonsillectomy is a list of surgical procedures, surgical procedure in which both palatine tonsils are fully removed from the back of the throat. The procedure is mainly performed for recurrent tonsillitis, throat infections and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). For those with frequent throat infections, surgery results in 0.6 (95% confidence interval: 1.0 to 0.1) fewer sore throats in the following year, but there is no evidence of long term benefits. Laryngitis is inflammation of the larynx (voice box). Symptoms often include a hoarse voice and may include fever, cough, pain in the front of the neck, and trouble swallowing. Typically, these last under two weeks. Laryngitis is categorised as acute if it lasts less than three weeks and chronic if symptoms last more than three weeks. Acute cases usually occur as part of a viral upper respiratory tract infection, other infections and trauma such as from coughing are other causes. Chronic cases may occur due to smoking, tuberculosis, allergies, acid reflux, rheumatoid arthritis, or sarcoidosis. The underlying mechanism involves irritation of the vocal cords. Pitchshifter
Pitchshifter are an English industrial rock band from Nottingham, formed in 1989. The band was started by lead guitarist and programmer Johnny A. Carter, and bassist and vocalist Mark Clayden. The band’s early material was characterized for its gritty industrial metal sound with downtuned guitars and the use of drum machines, and has been cited as one of the originators of the genre along with Godflesh. With later albums the group's music became increasingly more melodic and strongly influenced by nu metal and drum and bass; particularly evident of their 1998 release '' www.pitchshifter.com'', which has been compared with groups like The Prodigy. Jason Bowld
Jason Bowld is a British drummer currently playing with the metal band Bullet for My Valentine, and formerly of Pitchshifter, This Is Menace and AxeWound. Bowld's first show with Bullet for My Valentine was at Wembley Arena in 2010, their original drummer Michael Thomas wasn't able to play. Jason said Matt Tuck rang him and gave him the setlist with no rehearsals, he had two days to learn the set. In 2021, Jim Davies of Pitchshifter, Jamie Mathias of Bullet For My Valentine, Tut Tut Child and Jason, formed Shadow Addict, an electro metal band. They Fell from the Sky In 2008 Bowld formed They Fell from the Sky with Colin Doran of Hundred Reasons and recorded a series of demos before disbanding. Rise To Remain
Rise to Remain was an English, London-based heavy metal band formed in 2006 and disbanded in 2015. The band made appearances at Download Festival, Sonisphere Festival and extensively toured the UK and Europe. The band released three EPs, the majority of which were "viral" releases, via their MySpace. On 16 March 2011 they signed their first major recording contract with EMI records, which was accompanied by the launch of their website and a free single download entitled "The Serpent". Their debut album, '' City of Vultures'', was released on 5 September 2011, nearly a year after they had started work on recording the album. Joe Copcutt
Joe Copcutt (born 2 August 1988 from London, England) is an English metal bassist. He is a founding member of Zoax and bassist of AxeWound. Early life and career Copcutt was born in Islington, London, England. Copcutt's musical career began when he joined 12 Ton Method in 2006 around the time of leaving the band in 2008 he joined Rise to Remain replacing Theo Tan. Copcutt left Rise to Remain in 2012 along with Pat Lundy. In that same year he joined AxeWound. In 2013 Copcutt formed a new London based band named Zoax with Adam Carroll, Dan Prasad, Doug Wotherspoon & Jon Rogers. In 2018 he joined Carroll in the newly formed The Gore Club. Glamour of the Kill (sometimes abbreviated as GOTK) were an English post-hardcore band from York. They had a Kerrang! video of the week with the track "Feeling Alive". Cancer Bats is a Canadian hardcore punk band from Toronto, Ontario. To date, they have released seven studio albums and six extended plays; with their most recent LP, ''Psychic Jailbreak'', having been released on 15 April 2022. The band is currently composed of lead vocalist Liam Cormier, drummer Mike Peters and bassist/guitarist Jaye R. Schwarzer.
