Matthew Morison
Matthew Morison (born April 9, 1987) is a Canadian amateur Snowboarder who currently resides in Kamloops, British Columbia. Morison has qualified to compete at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia. Matthew, a native of Burketon, Ontario began snowboarding at the Oshawa Ski Club at a young age. By Age 11, Morison was already beating senior men in races. Matthew competes in Alpine disciplines, Parallel GS and Parallel Slalom. He attended Courtice Secondary School. Matthew was featured in the MTV Canada series 'Summer Sessions' alongside fellow national riders like Jasey-Jay Anderson and Michael Lambert. He also featured in the follow-up MTV show ''Over the Bolts'' which followed the Canadian national team over the season. Matthew finished the 2007–08 season ranked 4th overall in the FIS Snowboard World Cup, in the 2008–09 season he ranked 6th overall. Michael Lambert (snowboarder)
Michael Lambert (born June 25, 1986) is a Canadian snowboarder who currently resides in Toronto, Ontario. Michael competes in the Alpine disciplines, Parallel GS and Parallel Slalom. Lambert has been on the Canadian National Team since 2002 and is currently working with coaches Mark Fawcett and Sylvain Jean. He is also the Slap cup champion of Stoney island Personal Michael was featured in the MTV Canada series 'Summer Sessions' alongside fellow national riders like Jasey-Jay Anderson, and Matthew Morison. He also featured in the follow-up MTV show ''Over the Bolts'' which followed the Canadian national team over the season. Lambert was one of the shows featured team members and closely followed him as well as his close friendship with Kimiko Zakreski. Furano Ski Resort
, also known as Furano Ski Area, is a resort in Furano, Hokkaido, Japan, owned and operated by Prince Hotels. The resort became famous for its long-standing relationship with the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup. In more recent years, it has held the mid-February Snowboarding World Cup, sponsored by Dydo Drinco. A view from the top of the slopes offers a panoramic view of the Furano Valley and the Tokachi Peak Mountain Range. FIS Snowboard World Cup
The FIS Snowboard World Cup is an annual snowboarding competition, arranged by the International Ski Federation (FIS) since 1994. Since its inauguration, different disciplines have been added and removed, along with categories used to group them. Currently disciplines contested in the World Cup are: ''Parallel Giant Slalom'' and ''Parallel Slalom'' (grouped into Parallel category), ''Halfpipe'', ''Big Air'' and ''Slopestyle'' (grouped into AFU category) and the discipline-category of Snowboard Cross.
