Matthew Hackett
Matthew Hackett is an American computer graphics animator. In 2008, Hackett was nominated for a Visual Effects Society Award in the category of Outstanding Animated Character in a Live Action Broadcast Program or Commercial (shared with Jeff Willette, Sean Andrew Faden, and actor Denis Gauthier. Visual Effects Society
The Visual Effects Society (VES) is an entertainment industry organization representing visual effects practitioners including artists, animators, technologists, model makers, educators, studio leaders, supervisors, PR/marketing specialists and producers in film, television, commercials, music videos, and video games. It has about 4,000 members in 42 countries. Since 2002 it has produced the Visual Effects Society Awards which honor the best work of the previous year in various categories. The Amityville Horror (2005 Film)
''The Amityville Horror'' is a 2005 American supernatural horror film directed by Andrew Douglas and starring Ryan Reynolds, Melissa George, and Philip Baker Hall. Written by Scott Kosar, it is based on the novel ''The Amityville Horror'' by Jay Anson, which was previously adapted into the 1979 film of the same name, while also serving as the ninth film in the ''Amityville Horror'' film series, which documents the experiences of the Lutz family after they move into a house at 112 Ocean Avenue, Long Island. In 1974, real-life mass murderer Ronald DeFeo Jr. killed six members of his family at the same house in Amityville, New York. The Spirits Within
''Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within'' is a 2001 science fiction film directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of the ''Final Fantasy'' franchise. It was the first photorealistic computer-animated feature film and the most expensive video game-inspired film until the release of '' Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time'' in 2010. It features the voices of Ming-Na Wen, Alec Baldwin, Donald Sutherland, James Woods, Ving Rhames, Peri Gilpin and Steve Buscemi. The film follows scientists Aki Ross and Doctor Sid in their efforts to free a post-apocalyptic Earth from a mysterious and deadly alien race, the Phantoms, which have driven the remnants of humanity into "barrier cities". Aki and Sid must fight against General Hein, who wants to use more violent means to end the conflict.
