Matthew Thomas Davies (born 7 February 1995) is a professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Malaysia Super League club Johor Darul Ta'zim and the Malaysia national team. He started his professional career with Perth Glory at 18 years old. After playing for two seasons at Perth Glory Davies went on to Sri Pahang in 2015 in the Malaysia Super League, after his first season Davies was given captaincy for Sri Pahang at age 21 years old, making him the youngest captain ever for Sri Pahang and the first half Malaysian to become captain in the Malaysia Super League. Sir Matthew Henry Davies (1 February 1850 – 26 November 1912) was an Australian politician, who served as Speaker of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. He was also a leading figure in the Victorian Land Boom, ending with his bankruptcy in 1894 and subsequent trial on fraud charges. Davies was the son of Ebenezer Davies and his wife Ruth, daughter of Mark Bartlett, of Bracknell, Berkshire, England, and grandson of the Rev. John Davies, of Trevecca College, South Wales. He was born at Geelong in 1850, and educated at the Geelong College. He matriculated at the University of Melbourne in 1869. He was admitted a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1876, and married Elizabeth Locke Mercer, eldest daughter of the Rev. Peter Mercer, D.D., of Melbourne, a Presbyterian minister. Matthew Lewis Vaughan-Davies, 1st Baron Ystwyth (17 December 1840 – 21 August 1935) was a Welsh Liberal Party politician. He was Liberal MP for the Cardiganshire Division from 1895 until 1921. Biography Davies was born in London in 1966 and lived there until his family relocated to the United States in 1983. He graduated from Staples High School (Connecticut), Staples High School in Westport, Connecticut, in 1985, and subsequently studied illustration and fine art at The Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, Georgia, then the School of Visual Arts in New York City. After college, he began doing freelance cartoons, before being hired full-time to draw for ''The Journal News'' (based in Westchester, New York) in April 1993.
