Matthew Corrente
Matthew Corrente (born March 17, 1988) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenseman who last played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the New Jersey Devils. Corrente was born in Mississauga, Ontario. Playing career In 2004, he was drafted into the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) by the Saginaw Spirit, 2nd overall. During the 2006–07 OHL season, he was traded to the Mississauga IceDogs. He was drafted 30th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils. In 2007 the ''2007 Future Watch'' published by The Hockey News ranked Corrente as the top defenceman in the New Jersey Devils system at the time, and third overall after forward Nicklas Bergfors and goalie Jeff Frazee. Corrente was called up to the New Jersey Devils on October 14, 2010. Charlotte Checkers
The Charlotte Checkers are a minor-league professional ice hockey team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the American Hockey League (AHL), and are the top minor league affiliate of the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Checkers play their home games at Bojangles' Coliseum. 2013–14 AHL Season
The 2013–14 AHL season was the 78th season of the American Hockey League. The regular season began on October 4, 2013, and ended on April 19, 2014. The 2014 Calder Cup playoffs followed the conclusion of the regular season. The Calder Cup was won by the Texas Stars for their first Calder Cup in franchise history. Regular season The 2013–14 edition of the AHL Outdoor Classic took place on December 13, 2013 and was hosted by the Rochester Americans against the Lake Erie Monsters at Frontier Field in Rochester, New York. Ontario University Athletics
Ontario University Athletics (OUA; french: Sports universitaires de l'Ontario) is a regional membership association for Canadian universities which assists in co-ordinating competition between their university level athletic programs and providing contact information, schedules, results, and releases about those programs and events to the public and the media. This is similar to what would be called a college athletic conference in the United States. Western Mustangs
The Western Mustangs are the athletic teams that represent Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. The school's athletic program supports 46 varsity teams. Their mascot is a Mustang named J.W. and the school colours are purple and white. The university's varsity teams compete in the Ontario University Athletics conference and the national U Sports organization. The Grand Rapids Griffins are a professional ice hockey, hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL) based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and play home games at Van Andel Arena. The Syracuse Crunch are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). They play in Syracuse, New York, at the Upstate Medical University Arena. They are the primary development affiliate of the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning. Ryan Martindale
Ryan Martindale (born October 27, 1991) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He has previously played under contract to the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Martindale was originally selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the 3rd round (61st overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Martindale played Junior Hockey with the Ottawa 67's. On October 8, 2011, the Oilers signed Martindale to a three-year entry-level contract. San Antonio Rampage
The San Antonio Rampage were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League based in San Antonio, Texas. The Rampage was primarily owned by Spurs Sports & Entertainment throughout the team's existence.
