Matthew Barber
Matthew Barber (born January 10, 1977) is a Canadian singer-songwriter. His music has been classified as indie pop and pop rock with folk and alternative country influences. Barber was born and grew up in Port Credit, which is part of Mississauga, Ontario, just west of Toronto, attending Lorne Park Secondary School before moving to Kingston, Ontario to attend Queen's University, where he volunteered at campus radio station CFRC-FM and performed at campus pubs. While at Queen's, he released his debut album '' A Thousand Smiles An Hour...'' independently in 1999. After graduating from Queen's, he went to McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario for his master's degree in philosophy, and here he began to take his performing more seriously. Mississauga ( ), historically known as Toronto Township, is a city in the Canadian province of Ontario. Emm Gryner (born 8 June 1975 in Sarnia, Ontario) is a Canadian-Filipino singer, songwriter, recording artist, and author. She has released 20 albums as a solo performer, and has collaborated with artists including David Bowie and Chris Hadfield. Early life Gryner's childhood was spent in Forest, Ontario. Her father was of half Irish heritage and her mother was Filipina. She started to learn piano at age 4, picked up bass around age 14, and later took up guitar as well. Gryner attended North Lambton Secondary School in Forest, Ontario. Following high school, she graduated from Fanshawe College's Music Industry Arts program in 1995. William Joel MacDonald Plaskett (born April 18, 1975) is a Canadian rock musician and songwriter based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. ''Open-Mike with Mike Bullard'' was a Canadian late-night talk show which was broadcast live from 1997 to 2003 on CTV and on The Comedy Network in primetime. It was hosted by comedian Mike Bullard and initially taped at a studio at the back of Wayne Gretzky's restaurant in Toronto, Ontario before CTV moved the show to Toronto's historic Masonic Temple. ''Open Mike with Mike Bullard'' featured two or three panel guests and one musical or comedy performance nightly. The show's bandleader and musical director was Orin Isaacs. ''Go!'' was a Saturday morning entertainment show on the Radio One network of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation that ran from 2002 to 2010, hosted by Brent Bambury. The show included interviews, music, live performances, and comedy bits. The show first aired as a summer series in 2002, concurrently with Bambury's stint as host of '' All in a Day'', the network's local afternoon program in Ottawa. Following a second summer run in 2003, the show was added to the network's regular year-round schedule that fall. The show was produced in Ottawa before moving to Toronto in 2005. Paper Bag Records is a Canadian independent record label, artist-management company, and music publisher founded in 2002 and based in Toronto. The seventh and final season of ''Medium'', an American television series, premiered on CBS September 24, 2010 and ended on January 21, 2011. The season premiered to only 6.10 million viewers while the season and series finale got 7.87 million viewers the highest in over a year since 6.12 on January 15, 2010. This is the last season on CBS until its cancellation in 2010. Production CBS renewed Medium for a seventh season in May 2010, and was moved into the 8:00pm Friday night slot replacing the cancelled ''Ghost Whisperer''. On October 26, 2010, CBS cut the episode order from 22 down to 13, due to ratings erosion. On November 15, 2010, Patricia Arquette told Entertainment Weekly that the show "got canceled" and had only two more episodes to shoot.
