Matt Zimmerman (basketball)
Matt Zimmerman is the current director of operations and a former assistant basketball coach at the University of Arkansas and a former Arkansas Razorbacks basketball team manager. A member of Delta Upsilon fraternity, Zimmerman graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1990. He went on to serve in the United States Army until 1995 reaching the rank of Captain.http://uabsports.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/zimmerman_matt00.html He then went on to serve as an athletic director and coach at the high school level before joining Mike Anderson's staff at UAB and Missouri. He is well known for his work ethic and commitment to coaching. Zimmerman headed up the walk-on tryouts while at both UAB and Missouri. Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. A field goal is worth two points, unless made from behind the three-point line, when it is worth three.
