Matthew Paul Reynolds (born October 2, 1984) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Colorado Rockies, Arizona Diamondbacks, and San Francisco Giants. Professional career Colorado Rockies Reynolds was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 20th round of the 2007 Major League Baseball draft. Reynolds was called up to the majors for the first time on August 19, 2010. Arizona Diamondbacks He was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks on November 20, 2012, in exchange for Ryan Wheeler. Matthew William Reynolds (born December 3, 1990) is an American professional baseball infielder in the Cincinnati Reds organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Mets, Washington Nationals, and Kansas City Royals. High school and college career Reynolds attended Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He played both baseball and basketball and received interest from Iowa State, Furman and Butler to play college basketball. He decided, however, to play college baseball for the Arkansas Razorbacks at the University of Arkansas. He played for Arkansas as a third baseman from 2010 to 2012 and hit .275/.382/.413 with 11 home runs and 72 runs batted in 150 career games. After his sophomore season in 2011, he played collegiate summer baseball for the Yarmouth–Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Matthew Reynolds is an American college baseball coach and former player. Reynolds is the head coach of the UMass Minutemen baseball team. Reynolds played college baseball at the University of Maine for coach Paul Kostacopoulos before transferring to the University of Massachusetts Amherst to play for coach Mike Stone (baseball), Mike Stone from 2003 to 2004. Playing career Reynolds attended Boston Latin School in Boston, Massachusetts. Reynolds then enrolled at the University of Maine, to play college baseball for the Maine Black Bears baseball team. As a freshman at the University of Maine in 2001, Reynolds had a .317 batting average (baseball), batting average, a .360 on-base percentage (OBP) and a .423 SLG.
