Matt Erickson
Matthew Erickson (born July 30, 1975) is an American former professional infielder and current coach in the Milwaukee Brewers organization. From 2011 to 2021, he was manager of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the Class A affiliate of the Brewers. Career Erickson played collegiate baseball for the University of Arkansas. In 1996, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League. He was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 7th round of the 1997 Major League Baseball draft, and later signed on December 19, , as a minor league free agent with the Milwaukee Brewers after spending several seasons in the minor leagues within the Florida Marlins organization. Erickson was called up to the Brewers in 2004 where he played in 4 games, and went 1 for 6 with a base hit against Greg Maddux. Infielder
An infielder is a baseball player stationed at one of four defensive "infield" positions on the baseball field. Standard arrangement of positions In a game of baseball, two teams of nine players take turns playing offensive and defensive roles. Although there are many rules to baseball, in general the team playing offense tries to score runs by batting balls into the field that enable runners to make a complete circuit of the four bases. Greg Maddux
Gregory Alan Maddux (born April 14, 1966) is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played 23 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for four teams. Maddux is best known for his accomplishments while playing for the Atlanta Braves and the Chicago Cubs. With the Braves, he won the 1995 World Series over the Cleveland Indians. The first to achieve a number of feats and records, he was the first pitcher in major league history to win the Cy Young Award four consecutive years (1992–1995), matched by only one other pitcher, Randy Johnson. During those four seasons, Maddux had a 75–29 record with a 1.98 earned run average (ERA), while allowing less than one baserunner per inning.
