Matt Campbell (Australian Footballer)
Matt Campbell (born 21 January 1987) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played with the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League from 2006 - 2012. He is described as being small and lightly framed but is a very fast player with excellent evasive skills. Early life Campbell, of Indigenous Australian heritage with tribal ancestry that can be traced to the Arrente, grew up in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. He began his senior football in 2005 with North Adelaide in the SANFL and played every game with the club in 2006. Campbell was drafted by the Kangaroos and moved to Melbourne in 2006. After being dropped from the Kangaroo's list at the end of the 2012 season, Campbell was re-recruited by North Adelaide and returned to the SANFL in 2013. North Adelaide Football Club, nicknamed The Roosters, is an Australian rules football club affiliated with the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and SANFL Women's League (SANFLW). The club plays its home games at Prospect Oval, located in Prospect, a northern suburb of Adelaide. The club joined the SAFA in 1888 as the Medindie Football Club (nickname Dingoes), changing its name to North Adelaide in 1893. Prospect Oval
Prospect Oval is a sports stadium located at Menzies Crescent, Prospect, South Australia. The oval has a capacity of 20,000 people with seated grandstands holding approximately 2,000. An unusual feature of the oval is that it is laid out askew from the conventional orientation of Australian rules football and cricket ovals, with the goal posts located at the South-Western and the North-Eastern ends, and the cricket pitch running in the same direction. All other grounds in the SANFL run in a north-south direction.
