Matt Black (Canadian Football)
Matthew Black (born March 1, 1985) is a former professional Canadian football defensive back who played ten seasons with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He won two Grey Cup championships in 2012 and 2017. Early years Black was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to parents Marlane and Donovan, and has a younger brother Eric and a younger sister Destiny. As young boy, Black was in a French immersion program at Market Lane School Public School in downtown Toronto. While playing football at Northern Secondary School (Toronto), Northern Secondary School in Toronto, Ontario, Black was named the Mid-Town Football Most Valuable Player. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. High School

2016 Toronto Argonauts Season
The 2016 Toronto Argonauts season was the 59th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 144th season overall. The Argonauts finished in 4th place in the East Division with a 5–13 record and missed the playoffs for the second time in three years. It also marks the 2nd straight year the Grey Cup hosts have failed to make the playoffs after the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last season. 2008 CFL Draft
The 2008 CFL Draft took place on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, live at 12:00 PM ET on TSN.ca. A total of 48 players were chosen from among 752 eligible players from Canadian Universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA. Of the 48 draft selections, 33 players were drafted from Canadian Interuniversity Sport institutions. The first two rounds were broadcast on TSN.ca with host Rod Black. CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon was in the studio to announce each selection. Cactus Bowl
The Guaranteed Rate Bowl is an annual college football bowl game that has been played in the state of Arizona since 1989. Played as the Copper Bowl from inception through 1996, it was known as the Insight.com Bowl from 1997 through 2001, then the Insight Bowl from 2002 through 2011, the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl for 2012 and 2013, and the Cactus Bowl for the 2014 through 2017 seasons. Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference
The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) is a competitive college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level. The GLIAC was founded in June 1972. Its eleven member institutions are located in the Midwestern United States in the states of Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Whether running, passing, returning a kickoff or punt, or recovering a turnover, a team scores a touchdown by advancing the ball into the opponent's end zone. In gridiron football, a punt is a kick performed by dropping the ball from the hands and then kicking the ball before it hits the ground. The most common use of this tactic is to punt the ball downfield to the opposing team, usually on the final down, with the hope of giving the receiving team a field position that is more advantageous to the kicking team when possession changes. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section).
