Matriz (album)
''Matriz'' is the fifth studio album by Brazilian rock singer Pitty, produced by Rafael Ramos and released on 26 April 2019. It was preceded by its own tour, "Tour Matriz", initiated in 2018 when the singer was still doing studio work. The second half of the tour started soon after the album's release. Concept Pitty explained that the album tells the story of a blueswoman who "departs from the cotton field, puts her viola in the bag and goes to the big city in search of better opportunities. It's a kind of return from an aesthetic and cultural self-exile". She invited Lazzo Matumbi to guest perform on the album because she considers him to be part of "this fundamental Bahia". Priscilla Novaes Leone (born October 7, 1977, in Salvador, Bahia), better known as Pitty, is a Brazilian Rock music, rock singer. She had played in two bands, Shes and Inkoma, before starting her solo career in 2003. She has sold over 2 million copies in her career, being one of the best selling rock artists in the 2000s. Pitty was voted the sexiest rock singer of Latin America and Brazil, and the 35th sexiest rock singer in the world in 2010. She was the most awarded Brazilian people, Brazilian rock artist of the 2000s. Hammond Organ
The Hammond organ is an electric organ invented by Laurens Hammond and John M. Hanert and first manufactured in 1935. Multiple models have been produced, most of which use sliding drawbars to vary sounds. Until 1975, Hammond organs generated sound by creating an electric current from rotating a metal tonewheel near an electromagnetic pickup, and then strengthening the signal with an amplifier to drive a speaker cabinet. The organ is commonly used with the Leslie speaker. Around two million Hammond organs have been manufactured. The organ was originally marketed by the Hammond Organ Company to churches as a lower-cost alternative to the wind-driven pipe organ, or instead of a piano. Vagalume is a music portal from Brazil. Created in 2002 by the couple Ana Letícia Torres and Daniel Lafraia, they used the PHP language with MySQL database to initially create a small base of lyrics of songs. Gradually, users sent lyrics and included information from artists of all musical genres (more than 1,000 new lyrics are sent daily). Over time, other content was added including autographs, biographies, and discography. The stylized logo was created by remembering the insect firefly. The portal is one of the most accessed throughout Brazil and Portugal. In 2004 the first plugin of the site was launched, which integrated with Winamp.
