Abdul Karim Matin
Abdul Karim Matin ( ps, عبدالکريم متين) is an ethnic Pashtun politician who served as the governor of Paktika Province from 2014 to 2015, and of Ghazni since 2016. Matin went to Gazi High School and studied at Kabul University. He was a Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development official for Urban Rainwater Harvesting and the Regional Coordinator for Southern Region of Afghanistan. In 2015, Mateen has escaped unharmed from an armed attack from Taliban when he was visiting security check posts in the outskirts of Sharana. He has been removed from his position as Paktika governor following the decision taken by the National Security Council. In 2016, he was appointed as the governor of Ghazni Province. Abdul Matin (language Activist)
Abdul Matin (December 3, 1926 – October 8, 2014) was a language activist of the Bengali Language Movement that took place in the erstwhile East Pakistan (currently Bangladesh) to make Bengali one of the state language of Pakistan. He was one of the student leaders and organizers of the movement. His contribution to the movement has been hailed by the other activists and students as he was popularly known as Bhasha Matin. Early life Matin was admitted to Darjeeling School in 1932. After passing the matriculation in 1943 he came back to East Bengal. Later that year he was admitted to Rajshahi College. According to him he had no political consensus before getting into the college. He was graduated in 1947. Involvement in Language Movement Matin was active during the language movement. He gained mastery in many languages including Arabic, Persian, English and Turkish. ’ Abdul Matin 'Matin' was first appointed as Tahsildar and then promoted for the post of 'Kamdar' in the State of Bhopal. Ahmad Matin-Daftari, also known as ''Mo'in al-Dowleh'', ( fa, احمد متین دفتری; 23 January 1897 – 26 June 1971) was an Iranian politician. He served as the former Prime Minister of Pahlavi Iran from 1939 until 1940. Biography Ahmad Matin-Daftari was born on 23 January 1897 in Tehran to father ''Mirza Mahmud-Khan Ain ul-Mamalek.'' He studied in Tehran's German School and received his Ph.D. in France. He wrote his dissertation in 1929. Matin-Daftari served as Senator in Iran's Majlis and became Prime Minister on 26 October 1939 with the fall of Mahmoud Jam's administration. During his premiership, the first National census was implemented in Iran and Iran's first National Radio transmitter was inaugurated. Matin Daftari was removed from the office on 25 June 1940.
