Mathilde Gremaud (born 8 February 2000) is an Olympic Swiss freestyle skier and eight time X Games medalist. On February 28, 2023, she became the first freestyle skier to hold both slopestyle World and Olympic Champion titles after winning gold in both events. Early life Gremaud was born on February 8, 2000, in Fribourg, Switzerland. Career Gremaud competed in the World Championships 2017. She competed at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2021, winning a silver medal in Slopestyle. She competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics and took the silver medal in women's Slopestyle. Gremaud won gold in big air at the Winter X Games in 2017, 2019, and 2021. She won silver medals in big air and slopestyle in 2020. In 2019, she won bronze in big air. In 2020, Gremaud became the first woman to land a switch double cork 1440 in competition history. Eileen Feng Gu (born September 3, 2003), also known by her Chinese name Gu Ailing ( zh, s=谷爱凌), is an American-born freestyle skier. She has competed for China in halfpipe, slopestyle, and big air events since 2019. At age 18, Gu became the youngest Olympic champion in freestyle skiing after winning gold medals in big air and halfpipe and a silver medal in slopestyle at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. The women's slopestyle competition in freestyle skiing at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 14 February (qualification) and 15 February (final), at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou. Originally scheduled for 13 February (qualification) and 14 February (final), the events were delayed due to weather. Mathilde Gremaud of Switzerland won the event, improving on her 2018 silver medal. Eileen Gu of China won the silver medal, and Kelly Sildaru of Estonia bronze. For Sildaru, it was the first Olympic medal. This was also the first Winter Olympics medal for Estonia since 2010.
