São João de Meriti (, ) is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Its historical name is São João do Rio Meriti. Its population was 472,906 inhabitants in 2020. It's located in the region of Baixada Fluminense, having 34.996 km² (13.451 square miles). The 2017 Rio de Janeiro Soccer Tournament was the 114th edition of the top tier football of FFERJ (Federação de Futebol do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, or Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation). The top four teams competed in the 2017 Brazilian Football Cup. Unlike previous editions of the Tournament, there was a preliminary stage played by the bottom four teams from the previous edition, and the top two teams from the latest edition of ''Série B'' (second tier), totaling six teams. The 2023–24 Liga I, also known as Superliga due to sponsorship reasons, is the 106th season of the Liga I, the top professional league for Romanian association football clubs. The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. The Campeonato Sergipano is the state football league of Sergipe, Brazil. Format During the 2022 season, The tournament is divided in three stages. In the 1st round, 10 clubs were split in 2 groups of 5 teams in each. The teams played 2 matches against the clubs on the opposite groups, or basically, Group A vs Group B. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série B is commonly referred to as the Brasileirão Série B (Série B), and until 2022 was officially called Brasileirão Sportingbet by sponsorship reasons.
