2014 IAAF World Relays
The 2014 IAAF World Relays were held in May 2014 in Nassau, Bahamas. The event was the first edition of the IAAF World Relays. There were five events for each gender. In men's and women's 4 x 100 metres and 4 x 400 metres, the event served as a qualification event for the 2015 World Championships in Athletics. Schedule Results Men Women Medal table Team standings Teams scored for every place in the top 8 with 8 points awarded for the first place, 7 for second, etc. The United States team won the overall classification and was awarded the Golden Baton. The 2015 IAAF World Relays was the second edition of the biennial, global track and field relay competition between nations. As in the previous year, it was held in May in Nassau, Bahamas. Apart from contesting for the Golden Baton for the best team overall, the competition also served as a qualifying stage for the 2016 Summer Olympics in the 4 × 100 and 4 × 400 metres relay. The 2015 European Athletics Indoor Championships were held from 5 to 8 March 2015 in the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic.
