Matej Šnofl (born 21 February 1977 in Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Slovenian retired Association football, football Defender (association football), defender. During his club career, Šnofl played for NK Maribor, Maribor, NK Dravograd, Dravograd, ND Gorica, Gorica, NK Olimpija Ljubljana (1945–2005), Olimpija Ljubljana, FC Koper, Koper and NK Celje, Celje. The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, commonly referred to as SFR Yugoslavia or simply as Yugoslavia, was a country in Central and Southeast Europe. Nogometni klub Maribor is an association football club from Maribor, Slovenia. The club was founded in 1960 and joined the Football Association of Yugoslavia the same year.
