Aberdeen–Matawan is a station on NJ Transit's North Jersey Coast Line, located in Aberdeen Township, New Jersey, Aberdeen and Matawan, New Jersey, Matawan, Monmouth County, New Jersey, Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. Raritan River is a major river of New Jersey. Its Drainage basin, watershed drains much of the mountainous area of the central part of the state, emptying into the Raritan Bay on the Atlantic Ocean. History Geologists assert that the lower Raritan provided the course of the mouth of the Hudson River approximately 6,000 years ago. Raritan Bay is a bay located at the southern portion of Lower New York Bay between the U.S. states of New York and New Jersey and is part of the New York Bight.
