Masthouse Terrace Pier
Masthouse Terrace Pier is a pier on the River Thames on the Isle of Dogs in Greater London, London, England. It is located at the end of Napier Avenue, off Westferry Road, at the southern end of the Isle of Dogs, and provides river bus services managed by London River Services. Services Masthouse Terrace is a stop on the Thames commuter catamaran service run by Thames Clippers from Embankment Pier, Embankment, via Tower Millennium Pier, Canary Wharf Pier, Canary Wharf and on to Greenwich Pier, Greenwich, the the O2 (London), O2 and Woolwich Arsenal Pier. Masthouse Terrace Pier temporarily closed between 14 January 2008 and 26 April 2008 for renovation work carried out by British Waterways, at a cost of £500,000. Transport for London provided a grant of £400,000 towards this work. The refurbishment work included installation of CCTV, a new waiting shelter, maintenance and repainting work. Greenwich Pier
Greenwich Pier is on the south bank of the River Thames in Greenwich, London. It was built in 1836 to cater for the many paddle steamers that brought visitors on day trips to Greenwich from London further up river. At the time, London's urban area did not extend as far out as Greenwich. The pier is currently operated by London River Services and is used by various river operators, running public cruise services to and from Central London. The O2 is a large entertainment district on the Greenwich peninsula in South East London, England, including an indoor arena, a music club, a Cineworld cinema, an exhibition space, piazzas, bars, and restaurants. It was built largely within the former Millennium Dome, a large dome-shaped canopy built to house an exhibition celebrating the turn of the third millennium; consequently ''The Dome'' remains a name in common usage for the venue. Canary Wharf Pier
Canary Wharf is a London River Services pier on the River Thames in Canary Wharf, London. It is located next to Westferry Circus. Services It is served by two commuter oriented services, both operated by Thames Clippers under licence from London River Services. The main commuter service from central London or Woolwich calls at Canary Wharf Pier on a regular basis. The Canary Wharf - Rotherhithe Ferry, also operated by Thames Clippers, links Canary Wharf Pier with Nelson Dock Pier at the Hilton Hotel in Rotherhithe. The service uses smaller boats than the commuter service but runs at a higher frequency of roughly every 10 minutes. The ferry can be used both by guests of the hotel as well as by passengers not staying at the hotel. Since 2013 boats have run direct as far as Fulham & Putney (the RB6 service), taking roughly one hour. The evening direct service departs at 1750.
