Masters’ Cricket Carnival
Masters' Cricket Carnival - Bangladesh (MCC-Bangladesh) is an initiative of former national cricketers of Bangladesh. Every year, the tournament takes place in different cities of Bangladesh and is contested by former national & first class cricketers of Bangladesh. With the support of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, Imago Sports Management organized the first ever franchise based Master Cricket Tournament in Bangladesh. The tournament featured more than 100 former cricketers that included 10 former captains. The players were divided into six teams: Expo All Stars, Confidence Group Dhaka Metro, JB Group Dhaka Division, Gemcon Khulna and Renaissance Rajshahi. A player's draft event was organized where the teams picked the players of their choices. The group stage of the tournament was held from September 28 to October 2, 2016 in Coxs Baxzar at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium and the final was held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur. Consulting and management Imago Sports Management is the overseas players management partner for Bangladesh Premier League. Khaled Mahmud
Khaled Mahmud Sujon (born 26 July 1971) is a former Bangladeshi cricketer and a former Test and One Day International captain. A medium-pace bowler and middle-order batsman, he played international cricket for Bangladesh from 1998 to 2006, captaining the team from 2003 to 2004. Mohammad Akram Hussain Khan ( bn, মোহাম্মদ আকরাম হুসেইন খান; born 1 November 1968) is a former Bangladeshi cricketer. A hard hitting middle order batsman, Akram played first-class cricket for Chittagong Division. He is currently the chief selector of the BCB, along with Habibul Bashar and Minhajul Abedin. Akram Khan was part of Bangladesh's inaugural Test match, in 2000–01 against India. He had been playing One Day International cricket since 1988. Mohammad Jawed Omar Belim (born 25 November 1976), known in the early days of his career by the nickname Gullu is a former Bangladeshi cricketer who has played Tests and ODI cricket since 1995, and a former captain in both formats. Jawed bid bye after a friendly domestic match on January 3, 2014. Hasibul Hossain
Mohammad Hasibul Hossain ( bn, মোহাম্মদ হাসিবুল হোসেন) (born 3 June 1977), known as Hasibul Hossain, played five Tests (2000–01) and 32 One-Day Internationals (1995–2004) for Bangladesh. Hasibul made his ODI debut at Sharjah against Sri Lanka in 1995 at the age of 17. He celebrated his debut with the big wicket of Roshan Mahanama. The fastest bowler in the country, Hasibul continued on to play regularly for Bangladesh for a number of years. Habibul Bashar
Qazi Habibul Bashar ( bn, কাজী হাবিবুল বাশার; born 17 August 1972) is a retired Bangladeshi cricketer and the former captain of the Bangladesh cricket team. Under the managership of Dav Whatmore, he has been found to be the most successful captain to lead the Bangladesh team to overcome several milestones. The first test victory of Bangladesh came under his hands in 2004 against Zimbabwe. Khaled Mashud, popularly known as Khaled Mashud Pilot ( bn, খালেদ মাসুদ; born 8 February 1976) is a former Bangladeshi cricketer and a captain in Tests and ODIs. A wicketkeeper and middle order batsman, he was a regular member of the national team between 1995 and 2007. Bangladeshi coach Dav Whatmore claimed Mashud as the "best wicketkeeper in Asia." He contributed to Bangladesh's first ever ODI hat-trick by taking two catches off Shahadat Hossain's bowling. Mohammad Sanwar Hossain ( bn, সানোয়ার হোসেন; born 5 August 1973) is a former Bangladeshi cricketer, who was part of the Bangladesh squad for the 2003 Cricket World Cup. History The middle-order batter made his international debut in 1998 against India in an ODI game at Dhaka. He notched up his maiden ODI fifty in 2001 against Zimbabwe. Despite continuous low scores, he was selected for the 2003 ODI World Cup held in South Africa, where he scored just 63 runs in six innings. The Bangladesh Cricket board ( bn, বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট বোর্ড; abbreviated as BCB) is the governing body of cricket in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Cricket Board first became an associate member of the International Cricket Council in 1977 and on June 26, 2000 became a Full Member. Naimur Rahman
Naimur Rahman Durjoy (born 19 September 1974) is a Bangladeshi politician and retired cricketer. He is the incumbent Jatiya Sangsad member from the Manikganj-1 constituency representing the Bangladesh Awami League party since 2014. Durjoy served as the first captain of Bangladesh national cricket team. At international level, he played 8 Test and 29 ODI matches for the team. Cricket career A right arm offspinner, Durjoy was a member of Bangladesh's 1997 ICC Trophy winning side. He became his country's inaugural Test captain when he led Bangladesh on their Test debut, against India in 2000.
