Alexander Wright Masters is an English author, screenwriter, and worker with the homeless. He lives in Cambridge, United Kingdom. Masters is the son of authors Dexter Masters and Joan Brady. He was educated at Bedales School, and took a first in physics from King's College London. He then went to St Edmund's College, Cambridge for a further degree in maths, and then the beginnings of a PhD in the philosophy of quantum mechanics. He was studying for an MSc degree in mathematics with the Open University, and working as an assistant at a hostel for the homeless in Cambridge, when he wrote his first book. He is the writer and illustrator of '' Stuart: A Life Backwards'' (), the biography of Stuart Shorter. Josiah Masters (November 22, 1763 – June 30, 1822) was a United States representative from NYCongDel, New York. Born in Woodbury, Connecticut, Woodbury, Litchfield County, Connecticut, he was graduated from Yale College in 1783. He studied law, was Admission to the bar in the United States, admitted to the bar and commenced practice in Schaghticoke, New York, Schaghticoke, Rensselaer County, New York. He was a member of the New York State Assembly in 1792, 1800, and 1801, and served as supervisor of Schaghticoke in 1796. Lieutenant Colonel John Masters, DSO, OBE (26 October 1914 – 7 May 1983) was a British novelist and regular officer of the Indian Army. In World War II, he served with the Chindits behind enemy lines in Burma, and became the GSO1 (chief staff officer) of the 19th Indian Infantry Division. Masters is principally known for his historical novels set in India, notably ''Bhowani Junction'', which was turned into a successful film. He also wrote three volumes of autobiography, which were positively received by critics. Life Masters was the son of a regular soldier, a lieutenant-colonel whose family had a long tradition of service in the British Indian Army. James Masters (born 13 July 1982 in Cork, Ireland) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer who played for the Nemo Rangers club and at senior level for the Cork county team from 2005 until 2010. Biography James Masters was born in Cork in 1982. He was educated locally at Coláiste ChrÃost Rà on the south side of the city. It was here that he first came to prominence as a hurler and a footballer on various school teams.
