Mastermind (Jason Wyngarde)
Mastermind (Jason Wyngarde) is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He most often appears as an adversary of the X-Men. The original Mastermind was a mutant with the psionic ability to generate complex telepathic illusions at will that cause his victims to see whatever he wishes them to see. He was a founding member of the first Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and later a probationary member of the Lords Cardinal of the Hellfire Club, where he played an important role in "''The Dark Phoenix Saga''". ''Master Mind'' is a 2015 Indian Kannada-language film written and directed by Kumar Govind. The film stars Rajvardhan. Herbie Laidley, better known as Mastermind Herbie, is a DJ and record producer who has worked under a variety of pseudonyms, including The Rapologists and Mastermind. He was also a founder of Mastermind Roadshow - a sound system also featuring Kiss FM DJ's Dave VJ and Max LX and others which formed in Harlesden. He is most famous for mixing the '' Street Sounds'' collections of early electro, as well as for a variety of remixes over the years. In 1983, Herbie was mixing the seminal ''Street Sounds Electro 1'' (Street Sounds, 1983), for label owner Morgan Khan. Mastermind is an American progressive rock band from New Jersey, formed by the brothers Bill Berends and Rich Berends in 1986. There is a power metal band in Japan also named Mastermind which has no relation to the better-known American Mastermind (although oddly enough, Jens Johansson did make a guest appearance on a Mastermind Japan recording). History Mastermind was founded in 1986 when guitarist Bill Berends and his brother, drummer Rich Berends, met bassist Phil Antolino. MasterMinds is an academic quiz bowl program active in Upstate New York. There are currently four regions with associated leagues: Albany, Rochester, Syracuse, and Buffalo. Some games in the Albany and Rochester regions are broadcast on public-access television. History MasterMinds was founded by CYPRAS in 1993. The first season consisted of schools in the Rochester area. MasterMinds later expanded to schools in Buffalo (1995), Albany (1999), and Syracuse (2003). ''Mastermind'' was an Irish television quiz show that aired on TV3 as part of its autumn/winter 2011 schedule. The show is licensed to TV3 through BBC Worldwide. The show is based on Bill Wright's concept which first aired on BBC One back in 1972. The show is well known for its challenging questions, intimidating setting and air of seriousness. The Irish version of the show was hosted by Nora Owen who is a former Irish Fine Gael politician. She was a Teachta Dála (TD) for Dublin North from 1981 to 1987 and from 1989 to 2002.
