MasterChef India (Telugu TV Series)
''MasterChef India'' is an Indian competitive cooking game show franchise based on the Australian show ''MasterChef Australia'', which itself is based on the original British television show '' MasterChef''. ''MasterChef India – Hindi'' (Season 1-4) and ''Junior Masterchef Swaad Ke Ustaad'' were produced by Colosceum Media. Endemol Shine India has been producing ''MasterChef India – Hindi'' since season 5 onwards through Star India and Sun TV Network with Innovative Film Academy co-producing it for other language versions. It was originally started in Hindi language and has been extended to three languages spoken in the Indian sub-continent, including Tamil and Telugu. Overview There are three versions in production. Kunal Kapur (born 18 September 1979) is an Indian chef and restaurateur known for hosting and judging ''MasterChef India''. Early life Kapur was born in New Delhi to a Punjabi family. He studied at St. Francis De Sales School and pursued higher education in Hotel Management from Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management Catering & Nutrition, Chandigarh. From a very early age, Kapur took a liking to cooking and pursued it to become one of the most well-known chefs in India. He trains underprivileged and unemployed youth in cooking and helps raise funds to make their own sustained food business together with United Ways Delhi. Vineet Bhatia (born 9 December 1967) is an Indian chef, restaurateur, author, and media personality. He was the first Indian chef to be awarded a Michelin star. He opened two Rasoi restaurants, the first in Chelsea, London in 2004, and the second in Geneva, Switzerland, in 2008. Both restaurants received Michelin stars, in 2006 and 2009 respectively, making Bhatia the first and only chef of Indian origin to receive two Michelin stars.
