The Confusions
The Confusions is an indie pop band from Sundsvall, Sweden. The band was formed in the early 1990s. The breakthrough album, "Everyone's Invited", along with "Six-0-Seven, were produced by Peter Svensson of The Cardigans. In 1997, The Confusions and Massproduktion signed with Stockholm Records, but were quickly released after Stockholm Records was bought by Universal 10. The Confusions formed in 1991 by a gang of childhood friends in the suburb of Skönsberg of Sundsvall – an industrial town in the north, better known for its punk, postpunk and metal scene. But being an outsider can be sometimes be to your advantage. And the band took that chance and developed quick. Massmedia was a classic punk band from Sundsvall, Sweden who recorded their first EP during Christmas 1978 at Torkhold, a bomb shelter at Västermalms gymnasium, which was also used for the early punk concert in Sundsvall. Lars Bygdén
Lars Bygdén (born 1973) is a Swedish singer, song-writer and guitarist. Biography Lars Bygdén was born 1973 in Sundsvall, Sweden. His musical career started as a guitarist in the psychedelic bands Magic Broom and The Shades of Orange. In 1996 Bygdén formed the country-rock combo The Thousand Dollar Playboys. The group released two critically acclaimed albums and got a lot of attention in Swedish media. The band dissolved in 2003. Lars Bygdén has continued as a solo artist on the record label Massproduktion and released his first solo album Trading Happiness for Songs in 2005 which won the Swedish Manifest award for best singer-songwriter album of the year. Vacuum (band)
Vacuum is a Swedish pop band consisting of Mattias Lindblom and Anders Wollbeck. They also work as song writers and producers under the same name. As songwriters and producers Wollbeck and Lindblom have worked with artists such as Tarja Turunen, Tina Arena, Garou, Monrose, TVXQ, Keisha Buchanan, f(x) and The Canadian Tenors. Wollbeck and Lindblom are signed to Universal Music Publishing world wide. History Vacuum was formed in 1996 by Anders Wollbeck, Alexander Bard and Mattias Lindblom. Their first single "I Breathe" was a big hit in large parts of Europe. At that time Marina Schiptjenko was part of the group. After the second album Bard left the group. Garmarna is a Sweden, Swedish folk rock band. Their songs are mainly old Scandinavian ballads. Biography Garmarna was founded in 1990. Stefan Brisland-Ferner, Gotte Ringqvist and Rickard Westman were inspired by old Swedish music, which they had heard in a theatre. They began searching for old tunes and instruments. After two years of playing together, Jens Höglin joined the band on drums. In 1992 the band recorded their first Extended play, EP. They thought that female vocals would provide a contrast to the dark mood of their music and invited Emma Härdelin, a long-time friend of the band, as the guest vocalist on the EP. She officially joined the band in 1993. The debut EP sold well in Sweden, and helped the band tour in Scandinavia.
