Massimo Murdocca
Massimo Murdocca (born 2 September 1984) is an Australian professional Association football, soccer player who plays as a Right midfielder, right or central midfielder for National Premier Leagues club Nunawading City FC. Club career Before joining Brisbane Roar, Murdocca played for South Melbourne FC, South Melbourne and Carlton SC in the now defunct National Soccer League, and for Fawkner Blues in the Victorian Premier League. Murdocca had a hugely successful spell with the Roar, making 182 appearances and scoring four goals over eight seasons from 2005 to 2013. After his release from Brisbane, Murdocca signed a two-year deal with Melbourne Heart. Murdocca played in all 27 games of the 2013–14 A-League season, as his side finished in bottom place. National Soccer League
The National Soccer League (NSL) was the top-level soccer league in Australia, run by Soccer Australia and later the Australian Soccer Association. The NSL, the A-League's predecessor, spanned 28 seasons from its inception in 1977 until its demise in 2004, when it was succeeded by the A-League competition run by Football Federation Australia, the successor to the Australian Soccer Association. 2012–13 Brisbane Roar FC Season
The 2012–13 Brisbane Roar season was their eighth season in the A-League. As runner up in 2011–12, Brisbane were looking to continue their run of good form in the League, aiming to win their second Premiership. The Roar were also looking to replicate their Championship success which saw them become the first A-League team to win back-to-back Championships. 2011–12 Brisbane Roar FC Season
The 2011–12 season is Brisbane Roar's seventh season in the A-League. Brisbane successfully defended their Championship by defeating Perth Glory 2–1 in front of 50,344, but relinquished the Premiership to Central Coast Mariners, who ended the regular season 2 points ahead of the Roar, with the result going to down to the last day of the regular season. They will compete in the 2012 Asian Champions League, for finishing the regular season first. On 2 August 2011, the club confirmed they would be supplied with kits and training gear by German multinational apparel company Puma. The 2010–11 season was Brisbane Roar's 6th season in the A-League. On Friday 4 February 2011, Brisbane Roar were confirmed as Premiers with two games remaining in the regular season. The seasons' Premiers Plate is the first piece of silverware for the club and meant automatic qualification for the group stages of the 2012 Asian Champions League. 2009–10 Brisbane Roar FC Season
The 2009–10 season was Brisbane Roar's fifth season in the A-League. For the first time, Brisbane Roar was not the sole representative from the state of Queensland, being joined by Gold Coast United and North Queensland Fury. The addition of the new clubs and a change of ownership of the Roar have led to the club changing its name from ''Queensland Roar'' to ''Brisbane Roar''. The change of ownership also brought about notable changes in the clubs' administrative ranks. The 2007–08 Queensland Roar season was the club's third season participating in the A-League where they would finish in fourth place in the regular season. 2007–08 season Failure to qualify for the 2006–2007 finals series resulted in the release from contract of defenders Chad Gibson (the club's first captain and A-league pin-up boy) and Swiss import Remo Buess. 2005–06 Queensland Roar FC Season
The 2005–06 Queensland Roar season would mark the first season for the Hyundai A-League. Queensland Lions withdrew their first team from the QLD State League and entered it in the new fledgling competition as ‘The Roar’ having been accepted by Football Federation Australia to take part as the sole representative for Queensland after no other club was able to raise the required funds to participate. Oakleigh Cannons Football Club is a soccer club based in the south-east Melbourne suburb of Oakleigh, Victoria, Australia.
