Mason Fowler is an American former mixed martial arts fighter, submission grappler, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) black belt athlete. A two-time IBJJF World champion, No-Gi World Champion, European Open and Pan-American champion in colored belts, Mason is a black belt European Champion, CBJJ Brazilian Nationals Champion and a two-time ADCC Submission Fighting World Trials winner. Early life Fowler was born on January 18, 1993, in Fresno, California, United States. Fowler started training mixed martial arts at Thrive MMA at the age of 18, eventually making his amateur debut. IBJJF Pan Championship
The Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Pan American Championship (commonly known as Pan Ams or Pans), is the largest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament held in North America. The event is held annually by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. History Representing one of the first steps toward internationalisation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the Pan-American Championship has been held annually since 1995. While the first event garnered only 250 athletes, the event has grown every year with the 2022 edition in Florida reporting over 4,600 jiu-jitsu athletes registered to compete. Craig Jones Invitational was an international submission grappling tournament held 16–17 August 2024 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The winner in each weight division received $1 million prize money. The event was streamed live on YouTube for free, and over 100,000 concurrent viewers watched on both days of competition. The 2024 ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship is an upcoming international submission grappling tournament to be held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, in August 2024. Background The ADCC World Championship is a submission grappling tournament held every two years, widely considered to be the most prestigious submission grappling tournament in the world. Competitors have to qualify by finishing first at a continental qualifying events, known as ADCC Trials, or by being invited to compete by the organization. Nicholas "Nick" Rodriguez, commonly known as Nicky Rod (born August 30, 1996) is an American professional submission grappler and Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) athlete. Micael Ferreira Galvão, commonly known as Mica Galvão, (born 8 October 2003) is a submission grappler, Luta Livre and Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) black belt competitor from the Brazilian state of Amazonas. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu ranking system signifies a practitioner's increasing level of technical knowledge and practical skill within the art.
