It was fully fledged as a university in 2001, after being a constituent college of Moi University for a decade. It is one of public universities in Kenya. Kisumu ( ) is the List of cities and towns in Kenya by population, third-largest city in Kenya after the capital, Nairobi, and the coastal city of Mombasa (census 2019). Kisumu County
Kisumu County is one of 47 counties in the Republic of Kenya. Its borders follow those of the original Kisumu District, one of the former administrative districts of the former Nyanza Province in western Kenya. Its headquarters is Kisumu City which is the third largest city in Kenya after the capital Nairobi and the coastal city of Mombasa. Raila Odinga
Raila Amolo Odinga (born 7 January 1945) is a Kenyan politician, former Member of Parliament (MP) for Langata and businessman who served as the Prime Minister of Kenya from 2008 to 2013. He is assumed to be the Leader of Opposition in Kenya since 2013. Odinga has contested elections as President of Kenya five times and lost. Pamela Mboya
Pamela Mboya (1938 – 26 January 2009) was a Kenyan political activist and diplomat, the wife of Tom Mboya the Kenyan trade unionist, educationist, Pan Africanist, author, independence activist, Cabinet Minister and one of the founding fathers of the Republic of Kenya. Early life and education Pamela Odede was born at Maseno, near Lake Victoria. Her father Walter Odede was a politician. She studied art at Makerere University from 1957 to 1959. Pamela was a beneficiary of the Kennedy Airlifts in 1959. She earned a bachelor's degree in sociology at Western College for Women in Oxford, Ohio. Vihiga
Vihiga is a town in Kenya located on the eastern side of the Kakamega Forest. Geography The town is along the road between Kisumu and Kakamega, and only five kilometres north of the equator. Vihiga bears the same name as its county, Vihiga County. Vihiga municipality has a population of 118,696 (2009 census). Vihiga municipality has six wards; two of them (Central Maragoli and Wamuluma) belong to Vihiga Constituency while the remaining four wards (Chavakali, Izawa, Lyaduywa and North Maragoli) are part of the Sabatia Constituency.
