Masego "Maps" Maponyane (born March 16, 1990) is a South African television presenter, actor, fashion designer, speaker, model, creative consultant, voice over artist, philanthropist and business entrepreneur. Career While taking a year off his schooling in 2009, Maponyane started attending modelling and acting auditions, where he attained his first modelling campaign, while working as an assistant to Lucilla Booyzen, Founder oSA Fashion Week. Maponye was named GQ's "Best Dressed Man" in 2011 and Cosmopolitan Magazine's "Sexiest South African Man" in 2013. He was a speaker at the ''Tomorrow's Leaders Convention'' in March 2015. Soweto () is a township of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality in Gauteng, South Africa, bordering the city's mining belt in the south. Its name is an English syllabic abbreviation for ''South Western Townships''. Gauteng
Gauteng ( ) is one of the nine provinces of South Africa. The name in Sotho-Tswana languages means 'place of gold'. Situated on the Highveld, Gauteng is the smallest province by land area in South Africa. The University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (), is a multi-campus South African Public university, public research university situated in the northern areas of central Johannesburg. Marks Maponyane (born 16 February 1962) is a retired South African football player. Kaizer Chiefs Maponyane joined Chiefs when he was 19 and started off by earning R600 a month. He scored on debut on 12 April 1981 against Leceister City in Eldorardo. He is the only player to win Footballer of the Year three times, he won the award in 1984 and 1987 with Chiefs. He captained the club from 1985 to 1988. He is Kaizer Chiefs all-time top goalscorer with 85 goals. He had a 7-month spell with Vitoria Setubal. His teammates couldn't speak English but only his coach Stuart Baxter could. When the season ended and everyone was leaving, he left for South Africa and never came back. He also went on a 3-month trial to Grasshopper Zurich with Fani Madida during his spell. Maponyane left Chiefs for Dynamos in 1991. ''Tell Me Sweet Something'' is a 2015 South African romantic comedy film starring Nomzamo Mbatha, Maps Maponyane and Thishiwe Ziqubu. The film was directed by Akin Omotoso and produced by Robbie Thorpe. The film received nine nominations at the 12th Africa Movie Academy Awards and won two including Achievement in Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress for Thishiwe Ziqubu. Plot The movie goes through with the elderly couples reminiscing telling their love stories during the course of the film. Moratiwa Vokwana (Nomzamo Mbatha) is a writer who wrote African love stories and was a teen sensation. Nomzamo Mbatha (born 13 July 1990), is a South African actress, television personality, businesswoman, accountant and human rights activist. Early life Nomzamo Mbatha was born on 13 July 1990 in KwaMashu Township, approximately , by road, north-west of the city of Durban, in KwaZulu Natal Province and is of Zulu ethnicity.
