Masatada Ishii
is a Japanese professional football manager and former player who is the current head coach of Thai League 1 club Buriram United. Playing career Ishii was born in Ichihara on 1 February 1967. After graduating from Juntendo University, he joined Japan Soccer League club NTT Kanto in 1989. He played many matches from first season. He moved to Sumitomo Metal (later ''Kashima Antlers'') in 1991. In 1992, Japan Soccer League was folded and founded new league J1 League. In 1993, the club won the 2nd place J1 League and Emperor's Cup. However he could hardly play in the match from 1996. He moved to Avispa Fukuoka in 1998. He retired end of 1998 season. Coaching career After retirement, Ishii became a coach for Kashima Antlers in 1999. He served as mainly physical coach. In July 2015, manager Toninho Cerezo was sacked and Ishii became a new manager. The 2021–22 Thai League 1 is the 25th season of the Thai League 1, the top Thai professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1996, also known as Hilux Revo Thai League due to the sponsorship deal with Toyota Motor Thailand. The or simply J2 is the second division of the and the second level of the Japanese association football league system. The top tier is represented by the J1 League. It (along with the rest of the J.League) is currently sponsored by Meiji Yasuda Life and it is thus officially known as the . Until the 2014 season it was named the J.League Division 2.
