María Isabel Moreno Allue (Maribel Moreno) (born 2 January 1981) is a Spanish road bicycle racer from Ribes de Freser, Girona. Doping Moreno was due to compete in the Women's road race at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing on 10 August, but did not start having been tested positive for EPO. Moreno arrived in Beijing on 31 July and was immediately tested. She fled the country for Spain that same day, having suffered a panic attack. The positive test results were announced on 11 August, making Moreno the first athlete to test positive for a banned substance at the 2008 Olympic Games. Maria Moreno (October 22, 1920 – July 9, 1989) was an American farmworker and labor organizer. She was the first woman farmworker hired to be a union representative. Early life Moreno was born Maria Torres Martinez in Karnes City, Texas to migrant workers. Her father Vicente Martinez was an orphan of the Mexican Revolution. Her mother Leonarda Torres was Mescalero Apache. Maria married Luis Moreno at 15. They joined the Dustbowl Migration to California in 1940. Maria and Luis eventually had 12 children: Lillian, Abel, Elida, Elvira, Martha, Joe, Elizabeth, Tito, Yolanda, Eva, Olivia and Alex. Career Moreno's activism began in 1958, after a flood destroyed crops and stopped farm work. Farmworkers were denied food assistance and her family nearly starved. In 1959 she was hired as an organizer for the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee (AWOC), becoming the first female farmworker in the U.S. to be hired as a union organizer. Antonio LĂłpez GarcĂ­a (born 6 January 1936) is a Spanish painter and sculptor, known for his realistic style. He is criticized by some modern artists for what they consider neo-academism, but has been praised by leading art critics, such as Robert Hughes, who considered him "the greatest realist artist alive" in 1986. His style sometimes is deemed hyperrealistic. His painting was the subject of the film '' El Sol del Membrillo'', by Victor Erice, in 1992. Early life Antonio LĂłpez was born on 6 January 1936 in Tomelloso, Ciudad Real, a few months before the beginning of the Spanish Civil War. It first appeared that Antonio would continue in the family tradition as a farmer, but an early facility for drawing caught the attention of his uncle Antonio LĂłpez Torres, a local painter of landscapes, who gave him his first lessons.
