María José Llorca
María José Llorca (born 3 March 1970) is a former professional tennis player from Spain. Biography Llorca is originally from Valencia and was trained in Barcelona as a junior. A a right-handed player, she appeared in a total of four Federation Cup ties for Spain, the first two in 1986 when she was still only 16. In 1987 she featured in another two ties, including a World Group second round fixture against Australia which they lost, despite Llorca winning the opening rubber against Anne Minter. From 1987 to 1991 she competed on the WTA Tour. She and Anna-Karin Olsson were runners-up in the doubles at the 1988 Spanish Open, which included a win over top seeds Bettina Fulco and Arantxa Sanchez Vicario. Both of her grand slam main draw appearances came at the 1988 French Open, where she featured in the main draw of the women's doubles and mixed doubles, partnering Alison Scott and Jordi Arrese respectively. The Spanish Open is a defunct WTA Tour affiliated women's tennis tournament played from 1972 to 1995. It was held at the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona in Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain and played on outdoor clay courts. It was a Tier V event from 1988 to 1989, a Tier IV event in 1990, a Tier III event from 1991 to 1992 and a Tier II event from 1993 to 1995. In the 1970s the event was known as the Spanish Championships before becoming an Open in the 1980s and 1990s. It was replaced on the WTA Tour by the Madrid Open in 1996. Alexandra Fusai (born 22 November 1973) is a former professional tennis player from France. Fusai was born in Saint-Cloud, Hauts-de-Seine. Starting from September 1989 when she turned professional, Fusai played four tournaments (all of them part of the ITF Women's Circuit) on the international tennis circuit in 1989. She played right-handed and lived in Nantes during her career. She retired from the professional tennis circuit in April 2003 when she discovered that she was pregnant with her first child. Sutton is the principal town in the London Borough of Sutton in South London, England.
