María Ruiz (born 18 May 1980 in Santander, Spain, Santander, Cantabria) is a Spaniards, Spanish actress, known for her lead role in the film Summer Rain (2006 film), ''Summer Rain'' (''El Camino de los Ingleses''), directed by Antonio Banderas. Career María Ruiz studied classical ballet and flamenco at the CAD Armengou school in Santander, Spain, Santander. In 1999, she moved to Madrid to further her dance studies with flamenco and ballet teachers Merche Esmeralda, Carmen Roche, and Juan Carlos Santamaría, while working as a professional dancer in TV shows (''Sorpresa Sorpresa'', El Grand Prix del verano#Bailarinas, ''Gran Prix'', ''Furor'') and as a dancer and choreographer for the musician Nacho Cano. Sacheen Littlefeather
Marie Louise Cruz (November 14, 1946 – October 2, 2022), better known as Sacheen Littlefeather, was an American actress, model, and activist on behalf of Native American civil rights. Littlefeather represented Marlon Brando at the 45th Academy Awards in 1973, where she on Brando's behalf declined the Best Actor award that he won for his performance in ''The Godfather''. The favorite to win, Brando boycotted the ceremony as a protest against Hollywood's portrayal of Native Americans and to draw attention to the standoff at Wounded Knee. During her speech, the audience's response to Brando's boycotting was divided between booing and applause. After the Academy Award speech, Littlefeather worked in hospice care. She continued her activism for Native American issues including healthcare and unemployment, and produced films about Native Americans.
