Maryam Palizban
Maryam Palizban ( fa, مریم پالیزبان) is an Iranian film and stage actress. She graduated in performing arts and theatre studies at Tehran University-Faculty of fine arts in 2004 and got her Ph.D. degree at the Free University Berlin, Germany in 2014. She has been a research fellow on Performing martyrdom in ta'ziya as Shi'a Theatre-Ritual: "Martyrs on the Stage" within the project "Figurations of the Martyr in Near Eastern and European Literature” from 2012 to 2014 at the Center for literary and cultural research Berlin ( ZfL). Her KHK (Käte Hamburger Kollegs) project is entitled "The Theatrical Space of Beliefs, Transcendence and Immanence in Roman-Catholic and Shi'a-Islam: From Napoli to Rasht". She played a leading part in '' Deep Breath'', for which she was nominated as best actress by the Cinema Academy, 21st Fajr International Film Festival. Urmia
Urmia or Orumiyeh ( fa, ارومیه, Variously transliterated as ''Oroumieh'', ''Oroumiyeh'', ''Orūmīyeh'' and ''Urūmiyeh''.) is the largest city in West Azerbaijan Province of Iran and the capital of Urmia County. It is situated at an altitude of above sea level, and is located along the Shahar River on the Urmia Plain. Fajr International Film Festival
Iran's annual Fajr International Film Festival ( fa, جشنواره بینالمللی فیلم فجر), or Fajr Film Festival (little: FIFF; fa, جشنواره فیلم فجر), has been held every February and April in Tehran since 1982. The festival is supervised by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. It takes place on the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. The awards are the Iranian equivalent to the American Academy Awards. The festival has been promoted locally and internationally through television, radio and webinars; speakers have come from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany.
